About Leatherman: Time-Tested Survival Tools
The original Pocket Survival Tool, devised by mechanical engineer Tim Leatherman, hit the market in 1983. By 1993, Leatherman was selling more than one million tools a year. In the blockbuster movie "Speed," Keanu Reeves used a Leatherman to save the passengers on a doomed bus. Even MacGyver has been seen with one of these trusty tools. But their best reviews come from everyday people. The Leatherman survival tool is a mainstay of travelers, sailors, fishermen, hunters, backpackers, and scouts all over the world.

All Leatherman tools are backed by a 25-year warranty.

5 out of 5 stars Handy? Oh Hech Yeah!!!   September 8, 2010
Tim Yates (Lacey, WA USA)
My wife bought me these guys after surprising me with an engraved titanium Charge Leatherman, and these little guys make using such an eclectic tool that much more better! I LOVE them (almost as much as I love her)!

5 out of 5 stars Everything your need   September 3, 2010

Purchased the bits as accesories for the surge that I bought and have found to be a great little addition. They fit the heads very well, so far have not stripped anything that I have used them on.

4 out of 5 stars Leatherman 934870 40 bit Assortment   August 28, 2010

Sort of pricey? I plan to carry this bit assortment in my glove compartment of my truck or ATV. You know it will be in the wrong place every time I need it. I should buy a second one? I will never use all of these bits. I wish leatherman made a good awl with an eye and put it in the bit set. Not sure a normal man would ever need this bit set but, I am a junk junkei. However, if you are into surivial kits you need a wave or surge and one of these bit sets in it.

4 out of 5 stars Typical great quality of the leatherman   July 19, 2010

I thik that others have mentioned that bits expand the use of the multitool greatly and are certainly worth having. I have owned Leatherman tools since the first version was available. This is the second set of the add-on tool bits that I purchased for my Charge. The first set had a clear platic bit holder much like the manufacturer photos illustrate. The second set have the black bit holder. The original bit holder cracked apart when carried behind the Leatherman in the sheath causing some bits to be lost. The plastic was more riogid and suject to age cracking. The second appears to adress these problems. I am still carrying the bits in the ugly acessory case. I may move them to the sheath when I am convinced the holder will not self destruuct.
